About Me

I'm Zachary Weiand, a local government reporter with the Bismarck Tribune, where I dig into everything from budget debates to policy changes that shape life in the Bismarck-Mandan area. My beat is city and county government, but I've covered a little bit of everything.

My passion for storytelling started early, but it truly grew during my time at Bismarck State College. While in school, I had the privilege of serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the campus newspaper, The Mystician. I graduated in 2023 with a degree in Mass Communications.

Outside of the newsroom, I'm a photographer, an avid music lover, and a coffee enthusiast. I enjoy traveling and hope to make it a regular part of my life in the future.
